Stalf is a brand that was launched (almost a decade ago!!) with a single jumpsuit.
For as long as there has been Stalf, there’s been the Cocoon Jumpsuit. It’s still in the collection, still the same (a few very minor tweaks in shape over the years) and still just as good. In fact, I pulled out my black version to shoot for this piece and seriously lamented the fact it’s been forgotten in the back of my wardrobe all summer. This is the piece that will never retire from our collection. 10 years old (in May) and just as good now as ever it was.
You’re guessing, quite rightly, that I am a lover of a jumpsuit.
Stalf was borne from a desire to dress with ease. To feel uniquely like oneself without gimmick or cliché. To pull on your clothing of choice each morning and not have to think too much, but to still feel like you got it right.
I’d argue that a jumpsuit embodies ease like nothing else.
A jumpsuit will soothe you when you’re stressed- when you crave effortless dressing (and no waistband!) when you’re time poor, it will step up and cover all bases. When you’re uninspired, a jumpsuit will pull everything together on your behalf. When you’re feeling adventurous, a jumpsuit will be the perfect foil to your own sartorial-wild.
I happen to think we (Stalf) excel at the humble jumpsuit.
There are four shapes in the current collection, each brings its own brand of convenience to the table and, if you’ll allow me, I intend to take you on a tour…
Okay, this is the style that was requested by one of you lovely readers, and opened me up to experimenting with the Stalf-Jumpsuit-repertoire as a whole.
The Sweatshirt Jumpsuit is like a warm hug or a long exhale.
Note- words I use a lot when designing: ease, soothe, comfort, effortless.
If the outfit below looks like the embodiment of those words, that’s because it is.
