The Recap - March 2025
All the things I’ve been indulging in, learning, lusting after and grateful for this month.
The Recap! …
…My top ten each month. Everything I’ve been wearing, listening to, been motivated by, what has given me comfort. The things I’ve been indulging in, learning, lusting after and grateful for. This month I chat about my upcoming legal marriage ceremony, finally unpacking our world into our new home, wedding moodboards, the ultimate bath-list and the new view that gets me up and out of bed every morning.
1- Wearing - Lilac. It’s my colour for Spring, for sure.
My lilac favourites:
The Cardi - Frosty Lilac I have been wearing this piece the most out of all the new season releases. In the midst of all the life chaos just recently, it’s comfort and joy in the simplest of garments. Add Flutters to feel playful or simply later over a tee for the I-can’t-be-bothered days.
The Wrapper - Wisteria Linen This Blouse/Jacket hybrid, matched with the The Wide Trousers - Wisteria Linen is such an easy combo that makes me feel a million dollars. It’s a take on a suit, really, but in the softest of linens, the most beautiful of shades, and the most wearable of shapes.
The Crinkle Cami Dress - Jasmine Just one of my ride or dies. Forever. I challenge you to pull this dress on and not feel uplifted.
Notable mentions go to the Hickory stripe. I have this and this and I have layered them over my lilacs to my heart’s delight.
2- Soundtrack - Defying Gravity - Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. Wicked … it’s not that I’m late to this one (the whole family watched the film at the cinema last year) it’s just that both my sons still adore “performing” this song before bed. I go to sleep with it still echoing through my head.
My eldest is obsessed with Erivo’s Oscars performance- actual tears in his eyes when he saw it for the first time.
3- Motivator - What a beautiful thing it is to unpack our lives into our new home after three years of designing/permissions/build, followed by three weeks of delayed moving-in, living out of hastily packed suitcases at my parents.
4- Comfort - Tomorrow I get married to the man I’ve loved for 20 years. Of course, that is a comforting (and exciting!) thought in itself, but I’ll also have the most wonderful team of women around me…
