The Love List - September 2023

Everything I've been appreciating recently...

My top ten for this month.

1- Wearing - Black! So not like me. It must be the back-to-school vibes in the air. See my latest Styling Notes post for a break down of my recent inspo.

2- Soundtrack - Damien Jurado - Florence- Jean.

My partner Sam and I work in the same office space and he often lets Spotify take us on a wild ride of artists we’ve never heard. It threw up this gem last week and we’re both loving it.

3- Motivator - The end of summer, particularly the unexpected extra week of September sun we had. Squeezing every last opportunity out of the sunshine. We decided to take an impromptu trip up to Scotland in our TentBox since the forecast was so good.

4- Comfort - Coming home from travels to a chill in the air and a proper duvet in the bed- ohhhh so good!

5- View - Angela Molina for Zara.

I adore these images. ADORE them. I haven’t seen a photoshoot that has captured me in quite the same way for a long time.

I love to see women older than a certain age (which has previously been pretty unusual) represented in marketing and (here’s the clincher) looking their age rather than trying to look younger. But aside from that (which is an article in itself) I’m just completely mesmerised by Angela.

I always have a muse. Someone in my mind’s eye, when I’m designing but also just in general- when I’m getting dressed in the morning or deciding what haircut to get. I love Angela’s strong gaze, direct expression, beautiful grey streaks and wrinkles in all their glory. She sells these outfits to me 100% and these images are living in my brain rent free right now.
