I’ve said top 4. That was really hard. It’s actually my top 6 but that was not-so-much a catchy title, so…
The thing with Stalf (and I say this knowing that it’s my own fashion brand so you’re all probs going to roll your eyes at me) is that for me, every piece is a go-to. I wear Stalf every single day. If I’m not wearing Stalf it just feels … off.
Of course, I have those pieces that just pop up every other day, are worn on repeat and just get the job done!
That’s where we’re focusing for today’s sartorial snippet!
Note: if you’re viewing this mail on a phone on the substack app, it’s going to appear INCREDIBLY image heavy, each grid of pics will display as a list of individual images for you to swipe through…erm…enjoy that!
Let’s begin here, shall we, because I STILL CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS ONE. It’s cotton fleece, so it’s just as good worn on summer evenings as it is layered up from here on in. Basically, get it worn all year round, will you!!
I’ve worn this style on repeat. At least twice a week since I got it in the Spring.
I size up two sizes in this one (not because you need to, it’s already cut oversized) but I am almost 6ft tall, am fairly broad and love an oversized ‘fit, so do bear in mind that sizing up won’t be for everyone. If in doubt, take your usual size, or send me over an email- I’m always on hand to help match you up!
Here’s how I’ve worn this style so far:
I’m using this article as a prompt to monitor how I’m currently wearing a style and then see if I can spot the missing links- the ways I’ve neglected to wear each piece- in order to get even better cost per wear out of my favourite items.
I’m down to pennies per wear at this point with this particular cardi.
Notes:
Current top pairings with the Misty Fleece Cardi are blue/ blue pattern/ white/ beige/ lilac/ purple patterns/ pale pink/ mint/ grey marl. No surprises there, all the usual suspects making an appearance.
Must try… Misty Fleece with shades of brown and red.
How is head to toe black with this one?
Here’s what I got:
Misty and checked Work Trousers:
Just very, very good trousers. Love the chocolate with pale, soft blue (and the obligatory pattern clash.)
Continuing on with the blue/brown theme, Misty and my new Chocolate Cross Stitch Simple Blouse, oh yes:
The blouse already has that delicious clash of aubergine/brown and icy blue, but doesn’t hurt to add in an additional layer:
Misty and red?? I don’t own any red tees/tops whatsoever, so pinched one of my fiancé’s tees. 10/10 will probs be on the hunt for a little red tee.
Completely forgot to shoot this cardi with head to toe black, but since this is the one I wear every week for yoga, if you squint whilst looking at the below photo, you’ll see that it does, indeed, work!
Same process below but with the Candy Floss Cardi (which you can still order by emailing me or simply ordering the grey/black version and adding a note to seller at the checkout, something like “please make up the cardi in Candy Floss” would work!)
